History

Viewing the history for a tab

To view a list of pages that were open on this tab:

1. Open a tab.

2. Click and hold the icon.

The icon is only active if you navigated through multiple webpages using the given tab. If the icon isn't available, go to your complete browsing history.

Viewing full history

To quickly find the page you need, click the icon in the sidebar and enter the name of a page in the search bar.

Don't need this icon to be shown? In the sidebar, click → Tools and deselect History.

To view your complete history, click → History → Entire history or press the Ctrl + H shortcut.

To find the desired page in the history, enter part of its name or address in the Search field. To the right, you will see a list of pages matching the search query.

Removing pages from history

1. Click  → History → Entire history.

2. Select the desired pages.

3. Click Delete under the list of pages on the left.

Clear entire history

1. Click  → History → Clear history or press Ctrl + Shift + Del (on Windows) or Shift + ⌘ + Backspace (on macOS).

2. In the Clear history window, set the period.

3. Select Views.

4. If necessary, deselect all other options.

5. Click Clear.

To clear the history every time you close Yandex Browser:

1. Click  → Settings → System.

2. Under Privacy, tick the Clear data on exit box.

3. Select Views.

4. If necessary, select all other options.

Saving the history

Your history is saved partially:

• The history of pages you visited on your computer is automatically saved to your account linked to Yandex ID.

• The history of pages that the user visited on other devices is not displayed in the Yandex Browser interface. However, if you start typing in Yandex Browser the address of a site you visited on another device, this address will appear in your suggestions. Sites pinned to the Tableau are an exception to this rule.

To disable saving the history:

1. In the upper-right corner, click your → My profile in Yandex Browser.

2. Under My profile, click Manage data.

3. Deselect Browsing history. Your data will only be saved on this device.

Keyboard shortcuts and mouse gestures for managing the history

Hold down the right mouse button to perform gestures. Then release the button after you complete the gesture.
